Why I Post for Movements

By Your Favorite Influencer

I’ve been getting a lot of DMs asking why I post for movements. Thank you so much for asking. It’s really brave of you. It takes courage to admit you have no idea what’s going on in the world.

Contrary to what you think, there are actual problems in the world. You should really educate yourself…by looking through my Instagram feed.

Last week I posted a picture of myself wearing a bikini in the desert holding a candle. The caption was: #FreeThem. I’ve been getting a lot of questions about who I was trying to free, and so I want to clarify—freedom in general is super important to me. And the photo got 87k likes, so I’m pretty sure they’re free now.

This next post was complicated but necessary. It’s a picture of me in a biodegradable thong on an iceberg to raise awareness about climate change. The post sparked a $6 million partnership with Patagonia. But it’s not about the money—it’s about sustainabilitablness. I got a lot of DMs saying, “That’s not how you spell deforestation” and, “You’re holding a plastic water bottle.” We all have our flaws. You should really educate and environmentibilate yourself.

I know your culture is not my costume, but it can be a really cute costume. For example, on Cinco de Mayonnaise, I posted myself wearing the traditional garb of the Latinx people—a sombrero and maracas—to Chipotle. It was very indigenous and authentic, and everyone kept telling me that I looked exactly like Sacagawea.

The point is, I don’t post for the likes. Or even the DMs from Glen Powell. I post because I care more than you. Anyway, if you don’t get it, maybe you’re the problem.
